| Situation: |
Entire 95-year-old branch library building was being gutted and
renovated, and furnishings were needed to match project. |

‘Showcase’ library was under intense community and
political scrutiny |

MBSI planned and installed all shelving, tables, chairs, circulation
desk, study carrels, office and lounge furniture. MBSI coordinated all the furniture
with the oak trim theme of the renovation, and delivered and installed everything
in one week. |

Scrutiny has turned to applause. Patronage has quadrupled and
the library is considered a model for the New Jersey library system. |

| Situation: |
:The museum is located in an image preservation center with 23
environmentally controlled vaults). |
| Problem: |
The museum needed to find one company that can provide custom
designed storage systems for cinema, video tapes, photo, posters and archival
boxes. |

York City Dept. of Finance |
| Situation: |
The NYC Dept. of Finance has over 90,000 mortgage and deed books
dating back 175 years. The books (many weighing up to 30 lbs.), were stacked miscellaneously
in piles on over 500 pallets in a Brooklyn waterfront warehouse |
| Problem: |
The books are a permanent collection due to their historical
value, and use in urban studies. They were rapidly deteriorating and locating
a specific book was impossible. |
| Solution: |
MBSI installed heavy-duty shelving in a 10,000 sq. ft. room,
and cataloged and indexed the collection into a relational database. |
| Result: |
The books are safe and secure. The Dept. of Finance is able to
locate and provide historical information quickly |
